FAQ

How do I join Silver Lure Sea Angling Club?

You can come along to one of our monthly meetings, held at 8pm, on the last Thursday of the month (except December), in Ralston Community Centre, Allanton Ave, Paisley PA1 3BN

Or e-mail the secretary at SilverLureSecretary@gmail.com.

How much does membership cost?

Senior membership is £20 for the year.

Do you offer junior membership for kids?

Yes, as a club we are keen to encourage the next generation of anglers. Junior membership is free, with an adult club membership.

What equipment do I need to fish with the club?

Warm, layered waterproof clothing is a must. We may well be out in inclement weather conditions, so being prepared to be outside for an extended period of time is a must. You will be expected to provide your own lunch and any snacks/juice you might want.

If you are keen on doing some shore fishing with us, please note that some of our trips will be in darkness, and a headtorch is essential for those trips. The club convenors can advise on what equipment will be advisable for each individual trip.

What equipment would you recomend I buy?

We'd reccommend not rushing out and buying new gear, rather come along to one of our meetings and discuss the upcoming trip with us. Chances are you'll be able to get a loan of some equipment

What if I've never fished before?

No problem! If you are new to the sport, or just a bit rusty, please let us know and we'll arrange a fishing buddy to give you the guidance you'll need on our trips.

How long do the trips last?

Normally our club trips are based on having 6-8 hours of fishing time.
