| Lefnoll on Loch Ryan is a low water mark primarily
producing Dogfish. A very shallow mark can provide hectic action into
darkness. Clean ground means you can get away with 15lb main line to help
with the distance if needed. though the fish can often be found patrolling
the gutter 20 yards out. Standard dogfish rigs for here 3 hook flappers or
3 hook clipped are the norm but have some single hook clips in your bag in
case the fish are scarce and at distance. The standard baits are Sandeel
and Ragworm cocktails but ragworm on its own often works. Mackerel, Squid,
Lug and Crab are also useful.
