Club Boat Outing - January 2008

Loch Sunart

After some rather disappointing outings on Sunart, our 10 brave souls ventured back up, in search of the large bags of fish the Loch has promised, but so far failed to deliver.

After another highly enjoyable Saturday evening at the Lodge, the boys were full of optimism on the Sunday, but alas this fickle Loch provided little but more frustration for the lads.

Fish didn't show in any numbers at all until the onset of darkness, and even after dark, it could hardly have been called a "fish-fest"

Top fish on the day once again fell to guest Kenny Graham, a spur of 5lb 11oz. The remaining bags were made up primarily of dogfish. Even the obliging Conger failed to show up this time.

So a good weekend on the social side certainly, if a wee bit disappointing in a fishing sense.

One day we'll hit this Loch spot-on, I'm sure of it!
