Club Shore Outing - November 2007

                                   Victoria Park - Arbroath           

Although the Club has fished the Arbroath area many times in its long history, the Victoria park venue was a new one for us. Our success at last years Clyde & Western Region Knockout match was enough to encourage 7 of us out to fish what would be the last outing of 2007.

Very calm conditions, and a big tide which went out for miles didn't help catches, and only 5 cod were caught for 4 of the 7 members. It was nice to see a couple of fish over the 5lb mark.

Lesson learned on this venue - pick a smaller tide!

Next outing for January will be back to the North East, most likely a return to the Arbroath area.
